A free gift just for you! Read on....
God has a special GIFT just for you. It does not cost you anything, but it cost Him a Son, Jesus Christ. He said that salvation is free to you:
Eph 2:8,9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that
not of
yourselves: it is the GIFT of God: not of works, lest
any man should boast.
You see, this GIFT cannot be earned by your goodness. Read on....
Rom 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
In 1975, my wife and I decided to receive this GIFT. I searched for peace and happiness through drugs, alcohol, gambling, and even self righteousness, but not of these satisfied. When we were confronted with what God says in His word concerning our condition, that we were a sinners (we all are) and that we deserved to spend eternity in Hell, we received the GIFT of salvation.
Rom 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
The question then is "How do you receive this GIFT?" It is by faith. You see, when you realize that you are a sinner, and that Jesus died for you on the cross of Calvary, then by faith, when you believe that he did this for you, and you trust Him, he will save you and make you ready for heaven!
A GIFT cannot be belong to you until you receive it.
This GIFT of eternal life is yours by faith, by trusting Him and what He did for you on the cross. If you will trust Him right now as your personal Savior, He promises to save you. He loves you and wants you to be saved.
John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever BELEIVETH IN HIM, should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Acts 16:29-31 says " Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, 30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
So what do you have to do? Believe, or trust Him. Would you do that? If you have not been saved, would you trust Him right now? If so, He promises to give you this GIFT of eternal life.
If you right now have trusted Him, and He saved you by faith, maybe you would like to thank Him in prayer. You might pray this: "Dear Lord, thank you for dying on the cross for me and paying for my sin. Thank you for saving me through faith. Help me now to live for you, in Jesus' name, Amen".
Remember, the prayer does not save you , it is only your faith in Him!
